Different Shops, Different Scores

I went thrift and consignment shopping the week before my birthday and got some great, new finds. I was so happy with my latest hauls, that I decided to share. Granted, this took time (especially the Arc listing and searching through Thredup’s huge online store) but I’m super excited about the consignment shop I found, I didn’t even know it existed ’til I took an aimless stroll on a small shopping street. Just goes to show, not only the aimless wander!

Arc Thrift Store
-Two pairs of Anne Taylor shorts, originally $40 ea (one pair, NWT)
-Three cami’s, one from Anne Taylor
-Four tops, the far right one is Jennifer Lopez brand

Total: $53

Thredup – Forever 21 cardigan / $8

Thredup – Froever 21 shorts / $4.78

Thredup – Staring at Stars pleather shorts (NWT) – $6.40

Local Consignment Shop – I think it was Banana Republic (but I forgot to look before I threw the tag out after this pic) silver blazer / $10

Local Consignment Shop – pink and yellow jeweled bracelet / $20

A couple of shops, around $100, and I got an enormous haul. I got super lucky with the shorts at the Arc, it’s really hard for me to find shorts that fit my waist and are long enough to avoid thigh-chafing. Most of the purpose for the Arc run was because I’ve grown out of my summer clothes, especially shorts, since my injury/weight gain, and never really restocked once I went through winter/fall.

I’m giving up on “I’ll get back down in a month, I can wait ’til then for a cute wardrobe. I’m sick of not feeling pretty because I’m wearing my bumming, slouchy, baggy, clothes and the road to running again has been a lot harder than I thought, and so is the weight loss. I will be thrifting for my current size, and when I slim down, maybe I’ll get lucky and the consignment shop will give me some store credit for what I’ve shrunk out of.
